Chris is gonna personally get shot by bezos 💀
By - Vexrah
Please post the response they get to that lol
Bro Chris is a legend, a soon to be unemployed legend.
Chris told the truth. There's other jobs other than working for satan
Have you ever worked at a large retail mall?
That's only a lower tiered satan
Satan owns their software systems
Unemployed or not, he's RIGHT! I love working for Amazon, but HR is fully useless.😤
Nah he showed one of the 14 leadership principals *have a backbone
Just looked them up. They're still employed. Lol
That's a fair criticism that will likely get fixed now due to visibility but they definitely pissed off some folks. On a related note: there have been times where an HR employee gave me reason to believe they were half-assing their job. It made me doubt there was any kind of performance check from higher ups.
A good 75% of my experiences with my FC HR department have been entirely fruitless. They are pretty awful, both front half and back half. The 25% of the time that they were helpful is when they corrected time card problems or actually managed to successfully answer questions I had about one thing or another.
That said, ERC still does a better job at fixing time card issues and answering questions. They tend to be quicker, more caring, and more knowledgeable than the trashy HR at my FC.
oh yeah bro they're gonna fix that schedule error asap now down to no scheduled shifts
This is nice 😂. Can this been done anonymously?
Yeah, but it's amazon. Nothing anonymous
Connections is anonymous and you also have the option not to share your name/login on the VOA board.
They say connections is “anonymous” but if you choose the bad options especially about your manager they come up to you and ask what they can do better lol It happened to me a couple times I now select the I rather not say option
It is anonymous.
When we get a bad score at one of the questions, we have to go to each of our team members to try and understand why this specific question got poor responses. Otherwise we can't fix the problem.
For a given question, all we can see is how many respondents each answer got. It'd be much easier for us if we knew who actually answered what, because we wouldn't have to spend an hour asking each and every single person in our team. But that's not possible because otherwise managers could decide to retaliate against an Associate for being unhappy.
Next time, ask your manager to show you their Connections dashboard. You'll see for yourself that it's anonymous. The only people who have access to individual data are the ones in the tech team that builds and maintains Connections.
If it was truly anonymous, they wouldn't make up log in before answering the questions.
They do it so you can’t spoof answers. A login is a unique id to ensure you can only answer once
You need to be logged in because your manager is rated based on their team members' answers. If you were not logged in, that wouldn't be possible.
^^This is correct. I’m an OM and can see how many respondents per area manager, and also how many “rather not answer”. The AMs walking around asking what they can do better are simply trying to increase their scores.
I always feel bad for my AMs because I've been on the roster shuffle like every month and have yet to meet my direct AM out of those shuffles. I always get someone from inbound or CAP and I'm Pack and most recently Dock...
I can't answer shit about them because I don't know who they even are. Maybe thats why connections isnt really cared too much about at my site.
This is exactly why connection scores aren’t used for monthly evaluations. That said, it is a good way to take the temperature of the shift. I promise you, every level of leadership looks at these scores because they role up from subordinate managers and impact their personal scores. 20% of associates dislike their manager? They’re doing their job. 80% of associates dislike their manager? They need some coaching on leadership.
You can look on your A to Z and find out who you AM is. Send him a text if you have CHIME.
Can OMs see who said rather not answer because I answer literally every question that way
Nope. We cannot see how anybody responded, or who chose not to respond. It is truly anonymous.
I've had operations come to me personally about feedback I left. It might be anonymous to certain members of the team.
No, they come up to everyone
No. It's anonymous to everyone in operations, Safety, HR and anyone else not in the tech team for Connections.
I go to my team members all the time to probe questions and try and figure out who might have answered negatively, so that I can then dive deep and fix the issue. Doesn't mean I actually know what they answered.
Sounds like a lie they tell AM's to me, Daddy records everything, you just don't have access to it.
No, it's policy. And it applies to L4s just as it applies to L8s. Yes it gets recorded, but only the Connections team has access to that data.
There's no benefit for a manager's manager, or HR, or Safety, to know who answers poorly. No Associate has ever been disciplined for giving bad scores to their manager.
Connections is used to measure a manager's performance in leading their team and promoting a culture of safety. My chain of management does not care that you, ArYuProudOMeNowDaddy, rated me poorly on Connections. All they care about is that your answer demonstrates that I'm not doing my job right and that I need to do better for my team.
They cannot be disciplined becAuse it will be classified as a retaliation and Amazon DOES NOT tolerate retaliation of any kind against an employee.
Literally what I said in my first reply.
So why are they going on and on about it🤷🏾
Amazon. Records. Everything. How can you genuinely think the company doesn't create profiles of employees that answer questions poorly? Do you honestly believe those people don't get ear marked to make sure they don't try and form a union? Straight up delusional.
You are an idiot. I don't know what else to say. Union pushes don't get spotted and squashed by recording every single Connections answers from an Associate. It's not how it works.
I won't go into details because I'm not supposed to, but just know that L4+ receive training to spot people who would have bad intentions against the company. Connections ain't it. There are press articles out there detailing how Amazon builds profiles of potentially problematic employees. Guess what? Connections ain't it.
Oh and one last thing: if you believe that everything Amazon does has bad intent, why don't you leave? If you don't believe that Connections is a tool used to improve the work environment and measure manager performance, then surely you must believe that Amazon never tries to improve things for you?
God am I glad that you aren't part of my team.
Edit: went through a bit of your comments history, which, unlike Connections, I can do. You obviously can't be reasoned with as you seem to firmly believe that Amazon has no good qualities.
No, he’s right. Connections scores are anonymous for real. A manager can go to the connections site and see the summary polls. Nothing about logins or whatnot
They're lying to you. Bezos thinks all warehouse employees are lazy pieces of shit, no exceptions.
SMH. You literally also mistaking his comment because of the truncated headline that you’ve read lmao. He said humans are inherently lazy! Not specific to warehouse workers. And I agree with that statement wholly. We all try to do things efficiently even by cutting the workload through technology, in a way we are. I’m all for bashing him but get your facts straight. And who is lying to me ?? Been with amazon for a few years and I do talk to my AMs about their connections scores. Like OP stated, only dev team can see those. Doesn’t get to ops in any FC. Period!
But creating technology and inventing isn't being lazy. It is being smart about allocating your resources (time and energy). It takes work to make inventions too.
Also I don't know if you have some billionaire hero worship going on there with your screen name, but you can do better than this. I bet you had a passion when you were younger that you let die for money. You don't have to sell your soul to a company that would just put up caution tape around your dead body to keep production flowing.
No humans are lazy. Most of us just have trouble finding the drive to break our bodies so some douche bag can shoot himself into space for a few minutes or run up a few hundred parking tickets because the law doesn't apply to the rich.
The problem is does his manager have access? Does his managers manager have access? Does it get sent to a department since they are a data driven company that wants every last datum on every last person….
No, they don't get sent to management or "a department" (not sure what that means).
Are you sure they went to you specifically? Usually they go and talk to everyone
I have scanned my badge many times to put my id in the box at the bottom before entering a negative answer, and still have never been spoken to about my answers...
Yeah. Thanks for the anecdote, but that’s not how it works. Connections questions are anonymous.
Real men tell you the truth to your face. Real Men dont hide. Coward hide and live in fear. Punks
You beat me to it lol.
Sniped from space.
Chris is so done and is fine with burning bridges. I know the feeling. It is typically just as fruitless as being nice but at least you get to speak your mind.
Oh they’ll fix the schedule issue alright... By taking you right off of it !
"Thanks for the call out!"
Chris is telling the truth and nothing but. Amazon management and HR are the the laziest paid pieces of crap I've ever seen. They just got money thrown at em for doing nothing like Jeff Bezos. Just dysfunctional and lazy sacks of feces.
I’m lucky my hr are the best then and actually do their job lol
Probably should censor the login.
Sorry you feel that way Chris, but MET isn't a scheduling error.
This case has now been closed,
Lol some shit HR would say when his schedule has been the wrong time for months and he's created 20 cases to fix it. I swear amazon HR is just there to see how far they can push people before going postal. And then they get to replace them with new, cheaper workers
I'll. Dddddddrink ta dat ...burp
Chris is legit
Nothing is anonymous at Amazon. They know everything u do at every second of the day while u are there.
I wish that were true. Would make my job so much easier...
Haha you’re right about that. HR and ERC are the worst aspects about working at Amazon… it’s crazy
While I normally disagree with you, you are totally right here.
I totally agree with that, you're an asshole. And I'm an asshole. Sometimes I just don't agree with your truths. No need to downvote because I disagree with you generally, particularly when I said I agree with you here.
We assholes gotta stick together sometimes!
Yeah! Wanna alcoholic cocktail.? Bourbon to be exact. 😬 or you want a 40 oz. OLDE ENGLISH?
How bout we dump the bourbon in the 40 :)
You’re the first person who has ever said that the Pakistani and Indian ERC reps are useful. They’ve never been useful to me in any way shape or form. I waste so much time dealing with them.
Really? ERC has always been useful for me. Lol
I love those indian Pakistanis agents. Really nice
Na you got it twisted. ERC are the only ones who get shit done. HR at FCs just hides in offices and rooms instead of doing their actual job. They're legitimately fucking useless. They don't get evaluated on numbers the way everyone else at amazon does so they just do nothing
Lmao they’re all useless to me
Of course the truth can’t be told.
Chris is the fucking goat. I've ripped them on HR cases before because they're so horrible and I just don't gaf
I'm a dont gaf kinda guy too.
Na hes not Bezos wont shoot anyone.
He could afford a hitman
Man I love reading the VOA board during break. Sometimes you find some funny ass posts because some people just take the job waaay to seriously. Like no Sarah, I don’t think they’re gonna fix that fan in station 3234 after you’ve been asking about it for 5 months straight.
I hear so much shit about hr but in my time here ive only had good expierences that were quickly resolved. They fixed my schedule within an hour of me asking for it, are usually there when i need them (though not always as i work nights), and when i had problems in my lufe they cleared my points for me (engine broke down and i missed work for I t, points were refunded almost immediately when asked.) I got sick for a week with a cold and they wxcused my time. Management knows me by name, since ive used so much of their time lol.
I think maybe you just gotta be a bit agressive with it.
How do you view this?
My voice on atoz. Go to recourses and click it. Can only be used during working hours though. Some pretty funny stuff on there every once in awhile. It goes based off your site.
Man like Chris
One month? That’s it? My schedule has been messed up for 3 months even though I’ve talked to HR at least five times about it.
Where the hell do I even find the VOA board? I'd have some choice words for my FC.
Atoz go to resources then myvoice, but it's gotta be during shift days
He’s right. My bf got auto termed because of this issue
LOL I just saw this on the way to break, on that bigass TV. I love how bold it is sometimes. Way to go, Chris!
Schedule uses My time which is probably the same program used since they started in the 90s I can't believe a software giant like Amazon cannot upgrade it to one made in this century.
"done out side"
the typo fetish amazon has is intentional, right?
plz tell me they aren't hiring people who are actually this dumb, plz
Chris is in danger
I guarantee the initial problem was something this person created themselves or could've had fixed if they opened a case using their A-Z app.
I've had to goto the HR desk 4 times for the same issue. They didn't do it correctly until I asked if I was going to have to approach my manager about it. Imo competent HR simply doesn't exist at Amazon. They're only trained in firing people and heading off lawsuits.
Your lazy manager is the problem in this matter. Theyre supposed to set you up to see HR to layout the discrepancy.
Why go four times? And like I said, make the case on your own
Because I was stupid enough to believe them when they looked me in the face and said they fixed it?
They lied. Just know that you're on your own when you're working inside an Amazon Fullfillment Center. Amazon is a money grab. These greedy dysfunctional Frat/ Sorors thats wearing those vest only care about themselves and they're career packages. This is why you as an Amazon employee have to take your time to master that A to Z app and handle your own business. If you have any problems from there call ERC by phone. They get it done! They Do!! Stay away from the managers and HR offices. They are a dysfunctional group of lazy greedy money grabbers who watch you work while you support they're lifestyle. I hate folks like that. They want an easy ride and want top dollar for doing nothing. Corporate Lazy Bums.
Lol AMs are no fucking different. They feel entitled because they spent four years bullshitting their way through a useless degree and now they're working for 45k a year at amazon. So you know they either sucked ass at learning or made absolutely no connections while in college.
They had to go 4 times means somebody in management or HR or both are not doing they're jobs
Sounds like you haven't been working for amazon long.
It's easy to blame the victim you scumbag. Grow some balls and be a man and stop selling out to the dysfunctional establishment called Amazon FullFillment Center.
They should allow us to do minor fixes on AtoZ. 2 minutes late? Here, cover it with your PTO on your own WITHOUT having to deal with fucking HR or ERC.
Edit: Not a newbie. Just have terrible management and HR.
You can do that now :)
You can though...
We can do that in Canada like every time I’m late I just apply pto after clocking in
You CAN do that. Are you new?
Bro, our hr barely mentioned how PTO accumulates AND cuts off. You think they did much detail on AtoZ? I'd say 90% of the stuff I've learned about amazon in the last 6-7 months has been via this sub.
I guarantee that you don't know shit about this employee to come up with that conclusion
Actually, I know a lot about them from what they wrote and how they wrote it
