If I resign with my medical leave request unapproved will I be rehireable?

This is a coin toss.
If your leave is denied after resigning, **before** your resignation is fully processed, and you end up negative as a result.. it will make you ineligible for re-hire for a period of 6 - 12 months (supposed to be a full 12, but people sometimes get shoehorned back in sooner, for reasons I'm still unable to comprehend other than low staffing).
If there's at least a week in-between now and the due date of your paperwork, and you're **certain** that the DLS and your Physician are going to continue gangbanging you, then go for it. Do note that there's still a chance for them to afterburn you, even if the resignation is finalized.
If there's not that much time left, then.. you don't have much of a choice but to ask the DLS specifically what fields they need filled out correctly, write it down, and provide it to your Physician to remove any doubt.
EDIT: Missed the 7/20 date there. Good, 7 & 1/2 days. It's your call now chief.
Lol i literally had that same situation you are going thru. I recently just quit because I couldn't find a primary doctor. When I submitted my resignation, someone from HR called me and told me I should apply again once I start feeling better ? I don't know how long in between I would have to wait, but I am in no hurry to be back. Since leaving that place, my panic attacks have stopped.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do. I really hope it works out for you.
Did you have a pending leave request when you resigned?
Yeah i did. I had paperwork turned in from my therapist and a diagnosis/medication summary from a doctor and it still wasnt enough for DLS to approve my leave.
So long as you’re not negative on upt when you resign you can reapply right away.
