I use Schmidt's deodorants since they are natural, but they leave stains on clothes :/
Not sure if you want to go this route but I actually stopped using deodorant completely, even the natural deodorant. I tried using natural deodorant but the body odor was too much for me and I just couldn’t do it. Now, I use Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant on my underarms everyday and it’s amazing. My hyperpigmentation is disappearing, I don’t have an odor even when I haven’t showered and get all sweaty at the gym. The key ingredient is the salicylic acid which helps to eliminate the bacteria in sweat that causes odor. I just take a bit on a cotton pad and apply it to both underarms in the mornings or after showering everyday
I was reading into this yesterday! I saw people recommending Stridex pads which are also salicylic acid. They're a bit tricky to get in the UK so I'll see if I can get the product you suggested. Thank you :)
I completely stopped using deodorant or anything at all, no wipes or anything, for like 3 years. Then I was given Lavanilla Pure Vanilla deodorant and I hesitantly tried it, one pit first, and I’ve been using for almost a year now with no issues. I hesitate to recommend anything because I feel like those years of using absolutely nothing but soap and water in the shower made the biggest difference.
I tried using nothing for a little over 3 weeks during COVID lockdowns and I just sweat so much. The sweat actually caused me some irritation and I would feel very uncomfortable sweating and smelling so much around people
I can definitely see that using nothing wouldn’t be ideal for most people. My sweatiest area is, unfortunately, my face and head.
i'm curious about lume - it seems like it might be good for HS.
I’ve had really good results with Lume. I use it on my pits and bits. So far I’ve not had any issues with HS in my armpits tho. My issue was terrible rashes.
Oh no, terrible rashes from lume? :(
Oh no! Sorry! Terrible rashes both from antiperspirants and natural deodorants with baking soda. Lume is awesome.
Sorry which one did you use? I can see they have a bunch of different products, sticks, tubes and wipes
I use the tube
I’ve used the tube and the stick. I prefer the stick.
Forgot to add this but I’ve also used the stick my only issue with it is it gets kinda gross looking around the cap from the excess... I like the tube and the stick though both are good it just depends on your preference
I've just started using Lumē and it's working well for me. No breakouts or rashes from it. I have a recurring tinea which causes a funky smell and the Lumē works on that. If you're worried about a rash try the unscented first.
Thanks ill check it out
Thanks, had another suggestion for lume too. Everyone's so different, some people swear by a product whilst others say it caused them awful break outs.
At this point I'm at a loss and I don't know what to do so I've just been looking for suggestions to help find some direction
Lume 100% I started using it months ago and saw instant results, haven’t had a single flare up since
I probably haven't used deodorant in three years. My armpits are so severely damaged and ripped apart I don't think they even cause a smell anymore.
Awh man ☹ I really feel for you! I sweat buckets, when I don't use any products the sweat irritates and causes me problems and when I do use deodorant then that does as well... Niceee thanks body
I use native or megababe
I have been using Dove 0% for the better part of a year with no issue.

Thanks, did you use unscented?
Coconut scent. No issues but everyone might be different
